Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe writes: Do we still need an aircraft to lift over 100 passengers or not?

Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe, Presidential staffer

Former President J.A. Kufuor having heard the plea of the Communication Squadron of the Ghana Armed Force to equip the unit decided to acquire the Falcom 900 Ex-Easy jet and a Boeing Business Jet ( Embraer E -195), capable of lifting over 100 passengers.

The late President John Atta-Mills took delivery of the Falcon 900 and abrogated the purchase of the Boeing Business Jet, due to what we later got to know was Former President John Dramani Mahama’s alleged involvement in the transaction and even led to the late President Mills setting up a Committee of Enquiry to investigate the acquisition of aircraft according to Martin Amidu.

It’s about time we find out from the Ghana Armed Force if we still need an aircraft with the capacity to lift over 100 passengers or not. Enough of the politics wai.
