Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential hopeful and Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, may launch a newspaper soon to further his presidential ambition in 2024, 24news.news can report.
The newspaper named “The Alan News”, 24news.news is told, will also project the image and achievements of Mr. Alan Kyeremanten in the coming days.
The newspaper, which has slogan experience, character and competence, is expected to be launched this year.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen has been tipped as one of the presidential hopefuls who may lead the party in 2024.
“We can tell you that Alan is not only coming into this race with nothing in hand. This is a man who has done a lot for this country but how many Ghanaians have been told of this?
“The successful story of Alan must be told and told well. He is a major contributor in Akufo-Addo government and the NPP,” the source said.
As Ghana’s Minister of Trade, Industry and President’s Special Initiatives (PSI) from 2003, he led the design, development and implementation of innovative programmes and special initiatives which have created new strategic pillars of growth for the Ghanaian economy.
He was re-appointed as Minister of Trade and Industry in 2005, and served in that capacity until 2007 with additional responsibility for Private Sector Development.
As Minister of Trade and Industry in Ghana, Alan Kyerematen played a key role in shaping Africa’s Trade Policy agenda in the WTO Multilateral Negotiations and the EU-ACP Economic Partnership Agreement Negotiations.
