Former Mayor and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Enoch Teye Mensah, has won the Greater Accra representative on the Council of State.
However, out of the six contestants who represented the Greater Accra region, he emerged the winner amassing all votes cast.
This happened Friday, February 12, during the elections conducted by the Electoral Commission for new regional representatives to the Council of State.
He contested the poll with Mr Michael Kofi Mensah, a Managing Consultant and Mr John Mantse Akwetey, a Communication Specialist who obtained zero vote each.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Ideal finance Company Limited and former Greater Accra Regional Representative to the Council of State, Kotei Dzani withdrawn earlier from the race, whiles the Public Relations Officer for the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr Charles Parker-Allotey, withdrew from the contest minutes before the commencement of the elections.
