The President of the Republic had on Thursday, January 21, 2021 released first batch of Ministers who will support him in his second term.
The other portfolios such as Deputy Ministers, Chief Executive Officers, Ambassadors, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives(MMDCEs) among others are yet to be announced.
This has intensified and heightened expectations as to who will get what in the next release of government appointees.
The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Simon Kweku Tetteh, is allegedly caught on records to have been bribing assembly members in his municipality to endorse him for his second term.
One of the assembly members, who confirmed and spoke on anonymity said, the MCE has been moving from electoral area to electoral area to bribe the assembly members to sign a drafted petition of endorsement that would be forwarded to the Presidency
Report from the municipality said he is one of the assembly chiefs that is likely to be sacked following a failure to produce more votes for the President who lost with over 10,000 votes margin.
Other reports indicate that many of his constituents want him out as he turned a blind eye on the grassroots during his first term.
