Reports monitored by 24news.news on the various social media outlets indicate the Vice Presidential candidate to John Mahama has quitted the post after losing the 2020 elections to President Akufo-Addo.
Unconfirmed reports by Atinkanews.net revealed that Prof Naana Opoku Agyemang had moved her belongings to a new location to continue as Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Professor Opoku-Agyemang was appointed in 2013 as a Minister for Education by President John Mahama after the 2012 Ghanaian general election.
However, in July 2020 she was nominated to partner former president John Mahama of the NDC as a vice-president in the 2020 elections in Ghana following approval by the party’s executive.
