The Minister of Energy and Member of Parliament-elect (MP) for Hohoe Constituency, John-Peter Amewu, has started construction of a state-of-the-art palace for the Zongo community and their chief.
This is in fulfillment of a promise he made to the Zongo community two days to the election, that should he be elected as Member of Parliament for Hohoe constituency, he would build an ultra-modern palace for the Chief of the Zongo community.
Mr. Amewu said the facility when completed, would be a two-storey with a 1,500 sitting capacity on the ground floor and offices for the chief, opinion leaders and Zongo elders on the first floor.
He said the edifice would also have a stocked library and washrooms.
Mr Kwame Amenyo of the Hub Amenyo Company Limited, the construction firm of the edifice, said it would be completed within four to six month duration.
