Omanhene of Berekum names Berekum roundabout after Yaw Beng

The Omanhene of Berekum, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II, has named the Berekum roundabout as Yaw Beng roundabout in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region.

The renaming of the roundabout was made possible after consultations with the Berekum Traditional Council on the efforts of the late Yaw Obeng (S.O. Frimpong) who massively supported Berekum Education Trust Fund when the need arise.

According to him, the late Yaw Obeng helped the traditional council erect the monument at the roundabout.

Explaining the reason for renaming the roundabout, he said, this is to help motivate and encourage others to also live a selfless life to support Berekum as Mr. S.O. Frimpong did.

Daasebre called on his people to always emulate what the man did to make it a point to support the Golden City with their widow’s mite to help the development of Berekum.
