Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has held a zoom meeting with Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft to discuss three key issues.
The issues discussed include Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV2) and the lessons from Ghana’s policy response to COVID-19.

The meeting also discussed Ghana’s digitization strategy.
Dr. Bawumia said it was a good exchange of views and he congratulated Ghana for the strides we have made on several fronts.

”I also thanked him and the Gates Foundation for their successful work in the fight against polio and other diseases. I was joined in the meeting by Dr. Oko-Boye, Deputy Minister for Health,” he said.
