Richard Ahiagbah appointed Executive Director of DI

The Board of Governors of the Danquah Institute (DI) has appointed Mr. Richard Ahiagbah as the Acting Executive Director.

This follows the procession on Sabbatical leave by the Executive Director of the institute, Edward Kwaku Asomani, effective October, 21 to enable him pursue important research work.

Mr Richard Ahiagbah, on the recommendation of the board, has been appointed Acting Executive Director.

Richard comes to the role with a rich experience.

He has a track record in policy research, legislative lobbying and regulatory reform.

He therefore comes to the Institute with a strong public policy background. Also significant is his experience in electoral research and campaign strategy.

In 2012, Mr. Richard was a field organiser for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, a role he has performed on other senatorial and gubernatorial elections in the United States.

Prior to this appointment, Richard worked at the Fiscal Policy Centre and also as a Legislative Liaison for Oneok Hydrocarbons in the United States.

He is an alumnus of the West London College, Illinois Central College, Illinois State University and the University of Illinois.

A native of Aflao, Mr. Richard is married with one daughter.
