Asitey to get CHPS, auxiliary facilities in five months

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Lower Manya Krobo, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, has cut sod for the construction of a Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) and auxiliary facilities for Asitey, a suburb of Odumase Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality,  to the contractor.

The project, which will be funded by the MP, is estimated to cost GHC 500,000, comprises of the main building which will house the health facility; a theater, 3 consulting rooms, a maternity and labour ward, a two bedroom bungalow for nurses and a mechanised bole-hole is expected to be completed in five months.

The Municipal Director of Health, Mrs Stella Owusu-Sarpong, expressed his profound gratitude to the MP for his support in bringing health care to the doorstep to the people.

She thanked the MP for the area through whose initiative the project was brought to fruition.

The MP congratulated the contractor for winning the bid after evaluation.

In his brief, after the formal handing over, the contractor, Mr. Boateng promised to do his best to complete the project within the stipulated time.

He, however, appealed to the community to cooperate with him to needed to enable him complete the project on time.
